Cheap base plate that accepts 15mm Rods?

Hi guys, what's a cheap base plate I can use on my 7D? I already have 15mm rods follow focus etc. I'm not really looking forward to spending $100 bucks from RedRock for a simple base plate. Do I have any other choices?

Any suggestions or am I stuck spending the cash. Thanks for any help.
 
Leon, I'm looking for the same thing. I just purchased RedRock's theEvent, and I want to quickly snap the camera off it and snap it on a set of rods on my tripod. Their DSLR baseplate is pretty slick... I just need a plate with short rods for on my tripod.

I saw this at B&H and was wondering if it might work. I also saw this on Cavision's website... if they would just sell the balance bracket portion of this I think that would work. I'm going to contact them to find out more. I hate that they don't post prices on their website though.

Good finds, thanks for the links. They might work, Cavision one might be too low for my follow focus to touch the lens.

Actually the redrock baseplate is $195, ouch.
