Sorry I didn't get around to watching and reviewing 'Mirror, Mirror' it has been a busy number of months. Hopefully I will get time in Westfest!
 
I know its already been mentioned...but that is a flying pig? And boots? I don't know what the hell I'm looking at it, but I'm in.
 
Well pigs fly in hallucinations... this is gonna be a trippy experimental film exploring the life of a man who is being hanged for robbing a stagecoach... so pigs will fly!

Hey.. that's a good tagline... Coming with Summer for Westfest... Pigs WILL fly!
 
Where you at? How many re-writes and concept changes so far?
It's the only way I can judge where you are in the production process.
I mean really, you usually have a few thousand storyboard frames created by now.

6th rewrite and throwing that one out for the epiphany re-write which is occurring sooner than i expected. Woke up this morning and went "holy ****" and just had to write this one down... tempted to start storyboarding on this one...
 
Just think how great it would be if you shot this in May and had the rest of the time to finish it....without rushing.
 
Damn: what a weekend. Internet went out on friday and they couldn't send anyone out until today. So I was left to stew in my own juices. Which is a bad thing.

So I've been getting around to some of these networking events here in NYC and it's been quite an education. Having your film/trailer on an iPod, ready to play is quite the advantage, especially in a crowd. So progress is being made.

On the scripting front, I've actually been watching a LOT of westerns in the past week. My brother is an avid collector of westerns and his default movie when he is bored is either the Matrix... or the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Truthfully I should have just recruited him to script this for me, but his track record with actually completing a script, let alone a shootable, complete story, hasn't been so good. But we did get about to quite a bit of brainstorming and I think I have a good handle on the storyline now as well as the style.

It's a western, so it's GOT to have style, right?

Costume rental shops in Toronto are plentiful... considering just buying a hat though...

I'm good and healthy and moved to a new place. Trying to make plans for the nest couple of months so I'm finally ready to commit to a storyline.... details coming later today after I get some feedback...
