changing tapes

I'm buying a camera that has always had panasonic MQ tapes run through it, but I have a bunch of panasonic SQ's. Is this an alright switch?

Yes, switching among lines within a brand normally isn't a problem. I use different quality levels of Panasonic tapes all the time.

where did you get the sq's at? are they better than the amq's? i cant find them anywhere?

Panasonics tapes can be switched with eachother, but Panasonic and Sony tapes can not.
