Changing settings

I was watching a video where they used a PD170 , I believe, and they was telling to set the camera in manual for wedding shooting. These are the settings they suggested
1; Turn Off Auto Focus
2: Turn On Auto Lock
3: Lock Shutter Speed at 60
4: Activate Manual Iris

How do you turn auto lock on, and how do you set different shutter speeds on a DVX100B?
 
im pretty sure that there's a shutter speed button on the side of the camera when you turn open the LCD.
