Changing custom presets

I am probably missing something, but how do I change/customise a custom setting. Am I correct in thinking that only the presets on the camera can be altered? I have got into the presets menu but can only access the 9 presets on the canera, but not the 20 on the card. If I have to save/alter any changes to the camera presets, are there any I should, or need to keep. Sorry this may seem a silly question to the more seasoned user, but I dont want to change anything that I may need.

I had the same problem when I first tried accessing the presets. But, it's actually pretty simple.

1) create a folder on the SD card titled "PRESET"
2) copy the 20 presets you want into that folder.
3) reinsert the card into the camera and turn it on.
4) Select the presets and turn them on/off with the two buttons below and to the left of the menu button on the camera.

Thanks for the reply. I have the presets on the card and can access them all, and use them in camera. The thing I cant do is access any of the card presets to fine tune them. I can get the 9 presets on the camera and edit them to my hearts content, but I cant get to the presets on the card to edit them. Is it just the 9 camera presets that are editable??
