GH2 Change in colour warmth when using Auto white balance

Apart from the well known gama shift when you press record I do notice from time to time that the overall image "warms" up or colour changes, during the first few seconds of recording. This only seems to happen when using the auto white balance with both manual and electronic lens. Most apparent under artifical lighting but occasionally outdoors as well. Like AF and auto exposure is auto white balance considered bad practice to use?

This is the hazard of auto white balance on all cameras, not just the GH2. Why chance it when going manual will eliminate it?

It all has to do with what the camera is looking at and basing it's white balance on. It does do a good job, but sometimes after recording for a second, it decides that it hasn't quite set the white balance right, due to some new object coming into the frame. Just like if you go from one lighting scenario into another (from daylight to indoor or incandescent to florescent) it usually does a pretty good job changing. I do auto for a fair amount of work, but just like any auto magical feature, it's going to have it's idiosyncrasies.
