Chanel No.5 SPEC Commercial - Canon 5DMkII / 7D

Hi guys,

Please check out a spec commercial I've just finished. Shot with both Canon 5D and 7D with Arri Compact Primes.

I would love some comments/feedback and what everyone thinks.

My main question is: Does it look/feel like a real commercial?

Yes it does. It looks outstanding. I don't recall any commercials being that slow paced, but it looks beautiful.

I'd like to see it cut to 30sec TVC... I'm not sure 1.54min duration... unless your planing on Cinema Advert... pics look nice...

Also I'm not sure why we faded to colour... I would have only faded the product out...

It is quite long. I chose the Chanel brand specifically because of their long commercials which feels like short films.

It transitions into colour to signify him finding the girl in the end.

Ha ha...was this supposed to be a bite off of "Inception?" Cause that's what it reminded me of...even with the music directly from the movie. The black & white is supposed to be the dream state while the color is supposed to reality....maybe? I guess Mol came back for her Chanel No, 5. lol

Haha thanks for the inception comment. No the only thing from Inception was the music, but nice interpretation of the b/w and colour! Thanks very much!
