Hello

i just saw an interesting solution for ursa cam, as it uses same cfast media, it maybe would work with c300II. its Called "C-Box" , its just an ssd box with cfast interface! as simple as is:

https://cboxsystem.ecwid.com/

i believe the card dour should be closed on C300II in order to start recording , but i am sure it could be fixed over the firmware update...... some one just need to ask canon for it. in any case an interesting solution. maybe our china friends will come up with something similar in a more fancy and cheaper way....

Regards

Newshooter articles says it wouldn't be a good solution for run n gun, which is about 90% of my work.

if u do run and gun, most likely u film compressed footage, and its true, this way u ll be ok with 1-2 cards. but for other types of work should be interesting... that solution does not add lots of weight and space like it would with odyssey for example! plus the price again...(odyssey 7q+ unit & Raw soft )

interesting comment about it here: http://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=30866
I received my C-Box system that allows me to use my SSD Drives with the C-Fast cards slots on the URSA Mini. The unit is extremely sturdy. I placed the SSD Drives in the unit and tried to shake them out, but the wouldn't bulge... I'm using two 1TB hard drives from digistor.

u can always use an extra tape for security...
also if some ask the inventor to make an adopter for SxS cards - this way same unit could be used on Sony F5/55, Alexa....
