FEATURE: CEMENT SUITCASE – a feature comedy about a guy who can't let go

Probably not, but you could ask her. You might be as entertained as I was to find out that she's basically in high school!

In other news, it's 3:42am on a Wednesday, and Cement Suitcase is WRAPPED.

Thanks guys! We're creeping up on 1000 "Likes" on Facebook, which may seem relatively meaningless, but each and every aspect where we can show support and interest in the film will help us make a better sale when the time comes. So thanks for Liking and following along. We'll try to keep you posted with the latest news!

Here's a few more BTS stills by our 2nd unit / BTS photographer, Scottie Minshall:

Looks great, Doug.

I haven't gone through the entire thread but what's the budget on this? Looks really professional.
I'm off to look at your Facebook page.

it's nice to see you're having a "real" soundguy (well...he does look real) I think in that picture with the reflectionboard the guy is saying "watch out, you're making shadow on the reflecionboard"....

And also nice to see you're using a clapperboard :-p

We were thinking of doing the SAME kind of video... a slate vid. Haha.

Now I am definitely going to do it.

Thanks for posting, Doug.

Our sound guy was, in fact, real – I touched him and everything.

TODAY, within the hour, we will be gathering the team here internally to watch the first trailer. Obviously we will probably have notes and there may be some changes, but the point is: a trailer exists! I could watch it right now!

That means that all of you will be able to watch it soon.

The results of our trailer conversation will likely have bearing on where we're going next so far as finishing funds, the way we approach distribution, and so on. I'll be cribbing some moves from some of you people, of course, and looking to figure out some new angles as well. Hopefully that's a conversation we can have here real soon.

Oh, and the budget: the minimum possible. :) I don't want to say too much but you would certainly be on the right track with "micro indie."

And did he like it to be touched ? Most of the time it's the opposit when soundguys have to hide lav's under shirts and to hide transmitters.... :-p

It's true, it was my personal mentorship of Jeffrey which got him to this level of success. Too many times I would show up at his house unannounced, only to find him passed out in a puddle of his own filth, sometimes with the hypodermic needle still jutting wildly from his arm. I didn't hesitate at these times to try some tough love. I'd slap him until he was awake and looking at me and I'd say, "Goddammit, Jeff, you've got a brilliant eye, and you're pissing it away on this junk! I'm flushing it all down the toilet!"

One time, he shot me.

But you can see it all worked out ok.

Wow. That's hardcore. The world needs more people like you. If there's a God then you deserve to have really good luck with traffic lights next time you're in a hurry.
