CeBIT 2006 - Panasonic

I don't know if anyone who's watched this stayed long enough to see the Panasonic consumer 3 chip HD cam with SD card acquisition the guy interviewed pulls out of his pocket. Its a mock up but it looks like it will better than the rest. Looks like a handheld lens that will allow alot of light for the chips. I think it looks awesome.

Thanks for the link, Richard!

I agree with you Mico, also a "live-view-lcd" for a dslr is not bad either - I whished I had one on my D70.... and that live-lcd looks huge too!!

The 3CCD-HD-consumercam seems to me a good idea/concept, but a very strange design - might be hard to hold.... but we could not see the right side of it - if there are 4 straps for 4 fingers to hold (just my fantasy...), then it only depends on the balancing of the cameras weight. There are much smaller cams, so it might be stable in the hand, depending on other parameters than that strange design we have seen...

2 GB SD for 20-30 minutes.... so I hope there is a good compression (H.264?) for 10 times more than the P2 HD compression...

I only bothered to watch the first 2 mins..
Sounds like the guy dooing the interview knew more about the camera then the product rep ... as normal here in Europe. :kali:
