ya i know i was just making a joke. i don't see Owen as bond either.... loved his cameo in the new Pink Panther though making fun of Bond and all. Craig may do alright
 
I prefer to judge after I've actually seen the film, but as Accidental Anarchist and Hairy Lime said, if you've seen Craig in Layer Cake (and perhaps a little less so in Munich) then I think there's some incredible talent to work with in this franchise. Done right, I think they could knock it out of the park.

As for the previous Bonds, my present preferences are:
  1. Sean Connery
  2. George Lazenby
  3. Pierce Brosnan
  4. Timothy Dalton
  5. Roger Moore (not because he's not a good actor - just because his series was too campy-comedy for my tastes)
  6. David Niven (last place only because Casino Royale was more of a throwaway comedy and not a true "Brocolli/Saltzman/Wilson" Bond)
 
For me:

1. Sean Connery
2. Timothy Dalton
3. Roger Moore
4. Pierce Brosnan
5. George Lazenby
6. David Niven

It'll be interesting too see where Craig lands on our lists. He definatley looks like a badass.

but this isnt a connery "look-a-like" flick, its 007 for gods sake. and again i ask - for those who dont think D Craig is any good, WHY? because he doesnt look like connery or brosnan? because he isnt a good actor? because he not devilishly handsome, more of a rough sorta cowboyish handsome? please explain. thank you and goodnight.

Maybe they might. I won't spend a dime of my money to see it. I might watch it if someone gets the dvd or somthing. Just because it's Bond does not make it good. Timothy Dalton proved that.

I think you'll be surprised just how well Craig does, Even if you do wait for the DVD:thumbsup: (Honestly you talk as if Craig personally offended you somehow).
 
i agree with Callaghan. I think Jackman would make a pretty cool James Bond. He's got that aura about him. I'd really like to see Jackman play Bond.

Exactly. When I first watched Layer Cake I swear to god I said to my girlfriend when he first picked up that gun "this guy should be james bond, they're looking for a new one you know" and a couple of months later they announced him as bond.

Layer Cake + the trailer has sold me on this movie.

Im glad Brosnan's out and Crieg is in.
I saw the Bond films heading the way of the Batman films, where after the first two the rest just got hookey and "hollywood" up. Look at the first Bond film with brosnan compared to the rest, much better.
And whats this i see on IMDB? Danel Crieg is already starting to make the next bond film?
 
The main problem with recent Bond films is not the appearance of Bond, but the resticting new rules that have been applied to the character and made it look like a caricature of the original. I mean all that feministic B.S. that became the biggest cliche' in modern cinema(with all do respect to women)... Bond should be an exclusion...
P.S.Crieg is gonna make a good Bond
