Eh. Just not what I picture in a Bond. Not the worst choice I think. But I think they could have done better. I have no doubt he can act the part, but he's just not a Bond type for me.

wow...that does look good. im even diggin the guy...which i wasnt for a while...man...the first bond movie i will be excited to see in a while.

Well after the last disaster that was bond, I don't see how it could get much worse. After Die Another Day I honestly haven't been too excited about (if not dreading) the next one, but that clip does look prety decent. Different to the normal bond style (what it was) but I think in a positive way.

Lets hope that Production can match the trailer Editor.


How many have seen the original Casino Royale? That is one strange movie! (but very funny)

I just want Bond to be real; and not up the bullshit factor with each subsequent film.

When Pierce was wind-surfing on the wing of the plane car thingy and being chased by a Tsunami of ice ?

A men. Die Another Day looked more like a cartoon than a bond film.

The gadgets (and girls - to a degree) are supposed to be the fantasy. But only because we havn't seen them in the real world yet. The whole idea of a bond movie is that it's somethign that is not only possible, but actually could (is) hapeing in the world of espionage today!

Up to TND they were very good. beucase they were real, and even TWINE was ok. It's a shame Brosnan got screwed with his last one. I thought he was a really good bond too. Golden Eye and TND were a couple of my favorates.

did I see the same trailer as everyone else? This looks like typical bond. Mindless action to go with a mindless script. take 'bond' out and this easily could have been transporter 3. what got you guys excited exactly?

i do like the idea of a super high stakes poker game though. Too bad that, dispensed or not, this movie is still made by MGM, the same studio that brought you 189 terrible movies in a row.
 
For me, there has only been one Bond...Connery. Let's hope Craig can revive the character.
 
wow... i had a lot of reservations about it as well....

this looks great. i definitely can't wait for it! Craig actually doesn't seem that bad... (i still don't like the blonde hair but oh well). This trailer has seriously changed my mind about the film....

Those action scenes look amazing. For the first time in forever, this really looks and feels like the Bond world that I love to get lost in. If only the casting had been different, this may have been a grand slam. In that regard, it reminds me of On Her Majesty's Secret Service...if Connery had just stayed on for one more poo pooing film, it woulda been hands down the best Bond outing of all time.

As far as Brosnan...
GoldenEye was phenomenal, but his Bond vehicles got worse and worse from that point...culminating with the shïte that was Die Another Day. When I heard an actual comparison between Halle Berry and Ursula Andress' Honey Ryder, my head nearly exploded.

Connery is, and shall always be the essential Bond...and no one will ever take that title away from him. Ever.
 
the actresses in the one are f*cking hot! Eva Green and Caterina Murino! Damn... two of the sexiest women I have ever seen!

I originally thought Craig was miscast as well Callaghan, but this has me holding hope for him as Bond.

I'm a Bond whore.
I can honestly admit I like them all. The world of James Bond and what Ian Fleming has created is great great stuff. I am not stoked with the BS Factor however. So, definately all 20 some odd films are graded on a huge curve.
Brosnan totally got focked out of the role; a shame as he is one the best Bonds we've seen.

Damn. You're goign way back. I have liked every bond there has been and can't get caught up in ONLY ONE BOND. Let's hope Craig is just as cool.
 
I agree John, (Other than D.A.D., which really did) non of the bond films sucked - they are just more and less awsome, :)

This may just be me but, replacing Connery with someone else to play Bond, is like recasting Indiana Jones. I thought Brosnan was going to be good, and he wasn't bad in his first outing. I never really liked Roger Moore (in anything other than perhaps The Wild Geese, and to a lesser extent The Sea Wolves). The rest of them don't even register.
