CASI CASI - a new DVX feature film in festivals soon!

Hello, all.

For several years, my brother and I have been working on the feature-length film CASI CASI. We finished the editing in September '05, and I'm now very proud to finally be able to announce that we've been accepted to the following festivals (so far):

San Diego Latino Film Festival
Philadelphia Film Festival
Chicago Latino Film Festival

You can check out our website at www.casicasi.com for all the info, trailer, screen grabs, synopsis, etc. We shot this film Summer of 2003 with a DVX100 (old school), a small but talented crew, and a lot of sweat. Right now, we're working on putting together everything we need for the festivals, and on a trailer.

On a side note, this is my first attempt at designing a website, so comments and suggestions are very much appreciated.

I want to thank Jarred and everyone at DVXuser.com for all the knowledge and expertise available here. I joined in mid '04, but was lurking as a guest much longer, using the Search function to gather everybit of info I could. I really appreciate the advice, discussions, and pookie's image attachments :D

So, there you have it. www.casicasi.com is finally up and running, and the film will be coming soon to a theater near you!

One of the worst names for a movie man... think about that one again.. you need all the advantages you can get with a DV25 movie! ;)

Hello again!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we're an official selection of the New York International Latino Film Festival! The screenings will take place on Thursday, July 27th at 6pm and on Saturday, July 29th at 1pm.

This festival comes on the heels of our winning the Audience Award at the San Diego Latino Film Festival. Any of you folks interested in seeing DVX footage projected digitally on the big screen should drop by.

Ok, folks! We've been accepted in the Vistas Film Festival in Dallas, Texas! Casi Casi will screen there on the following dates:

Friday, September 22nd at 12:00 noon

Saturday, September 23rd at 1:30 PM

Both screenings will take place at the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station, 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75206.

CASI CASI will be screening in the Boston Latino International Film Festival on Sunday, October 29th at 5:45 PM.

So, if you're in the Boston area and want to see what DVX footage looks like on the big screen, check out our website (www.casicasi.com) for all the details. I promise you'll have a good time!

Also, we've added to the website the interview that aired on NBC's "Today in New York" during the NY Latino film festival. It's almost 5 minutes long, but you get to see me and my brother in full-out press junket mode!
