Carrying case for a rode video mic

I have a rode video mic.

Right now I am using a zip lock bag as a carrying case. Is there anything else I can use that is more effective and more professional looking?

Try local music stores, they tend to carry a random assortment of plastic cases with foam that you can use for carrying assorted gear.

This brings to the idea. You know those vinyl carrying cases that comes with every Shure microphone, use those to carry your mics and accessories. I use them for ALL mics when doing OTS rigs. Even better is to wrap each in sandwich/ziploc back with or w/o bubble wrap on the outside, and make sure you have desiccant gels inside the cases. Not waterproof, but light, effective, and a space saver.

Or Pelican.

I found a neoprene wine bottle carrier at a dollar store that protects my Videomic. Not as strong or as professional-looking as a Pelican, but it was a fraction of the cost.
