Capturing XH A1 30p in Premeiere Pro

How in the world do I capture my footage into Premiere Pro 2.0?

You can press F5, and the capture screen will show up. Press record, hit play on the camcorder and press stop when you're done getting what you need. Or, under FILE, it says CAPTURE. And do the same process

It says device offline. I have downloaded the Canon presets but it still won't capture.

device offline..... does that mean you're using a external hard drive... i've had similiar problems...

I had the same problem with the "device offline" error message. If you're using XP check the info at this link:

It worked for me.

Yes, I am using an external. I'll give that link a try and hope it works. I've been able to do it fine in the past so it sounds like it could be a driver issue. Thanks!

I removed the device from device manager and then let it re install.

driver gets clean install.
