Capturing Tapes From Another Camera?

Hello all!

I am shooting an event next week and will be passing along the tapes to another individual for editing.

Will he be able to use his own HD MiniDV camera to capture the tapes to his computer? I'm shooting with my XH-A1 and he has a Sony HD (not sure of model #).

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

If you are shooting in 24F or 30F HD, he will need one of the newer Canon HDV camcorders for capture. If you shoot 60i HD you should be fine.
