So what kind of hardware are you using to capture your A1 footage.
Specifics please, I have to build a new box.

Apple Dual G5 or MacBookPro. Both work fine with HDV.

A new 8 core MacPro coming soon now that Apple has anounced that Leopard is shipping (I have been holding off until Leopard was anounced to save the extra cash for the new O/S ).

I noticed that if buy a system this month with Tiger that the upgrade to Leopard is only $10. Might be useful to have both in case there are early problems with Leopard.

Anybody use Adobe on Location?

Yes, almost anytime I'm working indoors on a tripod. OnLocation works great with the A1 in both HDV and SD modes. My biggest problem has been getting Windows itself to recognize the A1. If Windows doesn't recognize it, OnLocation will not see it either.

One feature I like with OnLocation is that if your shooting in 24f mode, it will go ahead an strip the pulldown before writing to disk. The resulting capture files are true 24p clips.
