Capture Issue

Hi all:

I finally got back to taking some shots yesterday on the A1 and tried to capture it in FCP. Nothing seemed to work, and I am not sure why. I shot 10801 @60 frames and then tried to use the firewire codec and then apple pro ress 422. No go. So today I changed a playback setting on the Camera and when I tried to playback a message comes up "Playback STD Locked....Playback is Restricted". And now the Playback item in the menu is grayed out. Any idea what is going on??

Never mind about the first item. Just a screw up on my end. Taped in DV16:9 and not HDV. Now if I can only get the aspect issue straighten out (its all compressed when I capture in in FCP).

im having the same problem. i just got a canon xh a1 and i shot some hdv footage and i am having no luck capturing it. ive tried so many different settings but nothing seems to work. a big issue is once i have the hdv settings up, when i go to log and capture final cut pro quits. ive seen that this is a pretty big issue and if anyone can help id really appreciate it. thanks.
