C300: Cant open XMF file

I have my files on my drive.

When I right click on the file it says 'Open With' and its enabled to Quick Time Player.
Because of this, I cannot open the file anywhere.

The only way to actually view the clips is to import it into my timeline. But I want to see it BEFORE.
I cannot view it on my Canon XF Utility as it cannot locate it.

HELP?


*I've already went on restore previous versions, but theres nothing there
 
DO you have the entire file structure in place still? Refer image below. Hierarchy should be as shown.

FWIW Quicktime can't natively read MXF, you'll need something like MXF4MAX, generally speaking I do preview through FCPX, or I use VLC.

Yes I do have all the files.
I actually just downloaded and tried VLC, it works. I can preview it now prior to importing.

I'll take a look on uploading it though, if I have any problems.
