Unreal how long i wasted on this calculation today, if someone with better math skills could please help:
I'm considering getting a Sigma 18-35 lens for my Gh4, the Canon EF mount adapted to the GH4 via the Metabones Speedbooster XL. I will be shooting in 4k Cinema Mode.
The Metabones widens focal lengths by .64, and it also makes the crop factor in 4k cinema mode to 1.5. More info at the site linked above. I thought you just multiply the FF x Crop x Widening amount, but I'm confused by it all.
My question is: I would like to know what the equivalent focal length of the above Sigma + Metabones combo would be to a micro4/3 focal length measurement. I want to be able to simulate the focal length on my current lens, the Lumix 12-35, because I'm not sure if the 18-35 Sigma will be too wide. I plan on testing in a store at some point, but it would be super helpful to get started thinking about it now. Something about the 4k cinema crop conversion is throwing me off.

Thank you!
