Something clearly cooking in the C100/200?/500 world.

B&H has a $1000 drop on the C100ii (non-returnable).
Would love to see Canon repackage the original 300 as a C200 and put 2k, 120fps, 100mbps.
We'll see...

The C100 MK II has been around for a little over a year so I don't think it would be the time to bring out a C100 MK III or C200 if you will. The next possible time to announce anything new would be NAB but I don't think there will be anything new there...but I could be wrong. There are internet rumors of a C500 replacement but again, just rumors......and remember back in time, Canon used to make camera announcements in the early fall with delivery 1 1/2 to 2 months later (XL-1, XL1a, XL-2, XL-H1, etc) vs. at NAB and delivery 3 months (XF300,XF305) to 6 months later (C300 MK II).
In the words of a famous German Scientist: "Vee Vill See".....

Well a C200 would bridge their own gap in the CEOS line and the one that Sony has created with FS7/5. Seems like the right time...

100-web, 200-broadcast, 300-broadcast l Cine, 500-Cine

But what do I know? Nahsing!

i just saw jem schofield give a very thorough demo of the c300mk2 at abel cine/nyc.

i really like the idea of 2k/12bit footage.

if canon can offer that in a c200, i'm in.

be well.
