Canon XL2

Hi all. Would like to know if the Canon XL2 is a good camera to use..for..
short films and maybe event coverage. manual functions, lens, low light conditions, weight and everything/anything about it. Good to get one nowadays? Or should i just get a XH A1? All comments appreciated.

I've never used the XL2, but looking at it, it looks similar to the XL1.

The XL1 i thought was clumsy in design and i didn't enjoy using it, i found it more of a hassle.

You might also wanna consider that SD is steadily fading out. if you can, i would go HD.
