Canon XL2 or XH a1.......audio?

Hi Everyone

What should I buy for documentary/reality TV/travel TV work?

Canon XH A1, Canon XL2 or a Panasonic DVX1ooa.

All are in my price range. (Any better recommendation for the price range?)

How important is HD for the next two years for producing footage that you try to sell off for broadcast purposes?

Is timecode, genlock etc. completely necessary for producing documentary/reality TV style work that might eventually be broadcasted?

If you want a camera for shooting anything for tv, You should get a Sony camera that can shoot in HDCAM format.
