Canon Xh A1s 1920 x 1080 output- possible?

i just wanted to ask is it possible to get full hd from canon xh a1s? maybe by connecting other devices?

There's no 1920x1080 output of any kind. There's no 1080p at all, either.

IIRC, the XHA1 has a component output, doesn't it? I'm sure it does. And that would give you at least 1440x1080i output, if not 1920x1080i...

It's 1440 AFIK. It's possible I'm mistaken.

The sensors are 1440x1080. A test I saw a while back seemed to indicate that they used a pixel shift to increase the resolution on the component and SDI out to 1920. Of course it can't actually resolve 1920, it was something like 1600, but I believe the signal is in fact 1920x1080.
