Canon XH A1 OR XH A1s

Hey hey,

I can get a canon xh a1 or xh a1s for the same price. Should i get the a1s? Do you know what improvements they've made since the a1? I'm getting it used and it's pretty much the same price. Do you know of anything on the a1s that is Worse than the a1?

Get the A1s....the 6-pin firewire and improved audio options alone are worth it. The focus ring, iris ring and zoom ring were improved as well.

Not to mention that they replaced the plastic rings on the AV and Lanc connections with steel rings.....much more durable.

The A1s .. the audio limiters alone make it worth it. Canon could have put those on the A1 for a few dollars.
