Canon XF100/105 shipping

Can anyone explain the delay of the new Canon XF100/105? Yes there are some here and there, but they were supposed to start shipping in January. It's almost mid March and no sign of them arriving! It's frustrating, as my credit card was charged by B&H almost a month ago and nobody can tell me when the camera will be here. Could someone connected with Canon explain the delay and give some more reliable dates?

Two weeks ago we got XF100 serial number 0000003, yes three. That would indicate that they are not shipping many units.
 
They are allocated to dealers who have ordered "Demo" units, and, "priority" customers first. We (dealers) new back in January that they would not ship really fast. B&H should have told you.....but hell....they are B&H and they just want to move lots-o-boxes.....so whatever it takes to get your dough.

Actually I don't blame B&H, always processed my orders very well. I am just curious why is there such delay from the original shipping dates, and I was interested if any Canon people would tell. I am not interested in rumors and pissing matches.

After much effort i got transfered to a buyer who told me they hoped for an iniial shipment in the end of March, but that that would be small and not enough for standing orders. They expected enough to clear up standing orders in the third week of April. But that was in Feb. So they could have gotten more prepaid orders to push delivery of new orders even more into the future.
 
I received email from B&H last week. It stated they should start clearing the backordered pre-pays at the end of March. However Adorama issued this news release: http://www.adorama.com/ALC/News.asp...&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=EmailALC030911.
FilmTools had one camera not claimed yet, also Professional Video and Tape from Portland end me an email stating they have some XF100 in stock. Looks like whoever did not pre-ordered they'll have to wait till end of April or May to get the units.

Pardon me sir..........

Rumors and a pissing this aint! As you can see.....Lots-O-Boxes in NY does not seem to have the facts straight either. Also please consider the chain of supply issues that are creeping up considering the disasters in Japan. If you thought things are dificult to get now.....just wait. Some of us dealers have been wiating longer than you seeing that we can order stock in advance. Facts are facts.
 
We ordered our XF100 from Markertek last Friday. It arrived yesterday but I was out. Battery charging now. Can't wait to shoot some test clips!
 
I'm waiting for B&H to get them in stock but it's not like anyone else has them. It's difficult to find any information about stock supply.

I'm not sure, but it looks like PalaceCamera has them... I know nothing about this place though. At least they aren't saying they are out of stock.
 
I just received from Professional Video and Tape (Portlend OR) 2 days ago, amazing little camera, very nice store. Talk to Doug x121.
