Some quick comments on the XC10/XC15. My main camera is the C300 Mk1. I was the first customer to receive a C300 from Canon USA in exchange for shooting the 2012 24 hours of Daytona and posting the edit on Vimeo after they signed off on it.

I’m on an extended overseas assignment where I am shooting a new location almost every day. The C300 + all the right lenses is for interiors, and I just purchased a used XC10 w/3hrs on it for exteriors. Last year I used a Sony RX10II for the same purpose: exteriors only in 4k. I’m much happier with the XC already. Colors are fabulous. I like to pump the saturation a bit and with the Sony you would get beet-red skin tones. Canon’s are just right. Build quality on this little beast is great. It FEELS like a nice camera - same type of quality as the C300. For running and gunning it is fantastic. You’ve probably already read that you need to forget trying to focus manually… not worth trying and the auto-focus is quick. Interior-wise I did use it as a B-Camera to the C300 shooting an entertainment show. Set it to AV for auto-iris, and ran WideDR color + AWB because of constantly changing stage colors to reasonably match the C300. Fantastic with little to no noise - but these are the only occasions I will use the camera indoors.

LOVE the loupe that attaches to the screen and pivots anywhere you want it to. Super-high quality though the attachment is a little fiddly, but once you get used it it's fine.

Picked it up used for $1425 and all I can say it’s a lot of camera for that price. It is easily worth the $2500 list on the XC15 - actually worth a lot more for someone like me that really needs a device like this to produce fantastic results.
