Canon will show what?

So, it is all over blogs and twitter and what not this morning. "The story begins", nov 3 in Hollywood. I can't find any Canon site that mention this. Is it a hoax made by Canon rumors or what?
Anyway, as I was walking towards IBC last friday morning, before gates were opened. I saw a japanese guy carrying a hard case I never seen before (only label was Canon). It got me wondering why on earth he was carrying this case back and forth his hotel as I belive they keep the cameras in the booth during nights. Could it be I was acctually 3 feet away from something historical, not knowing about it rogar-Shock(DBG):

All we know is that Canon is making a "historic" announcement, which I think is a poor choice of words. Personally, I'm hoping for a sub $8,000 4K S35 camera but that's extremely unlikely. A man can dream, right?

Canon high-end DSLR's are long overdue and mirrorless in any form, be it still or video, would be groundbreaking for Canon.

I'm hoping for something really disappointing or perhaps just way too expensive, as I've already invested in a Sony PMW-F3. However, Philip Johnston at HD Warrior is probably correct. (10bit, 4:2:2, 50mbps, 4k etc) http://www.hdwarrior.co.uk/

If this is what Canon is releasing they're still lacking in some regards to Sony.

Many are thinking it's not a product launch but merely about Imagin8tion, but then why would they send the invites to the DSLR cinema bloggers?

Maybe it's not a product at all, perhaps Canon are buying out Red (From petty cash lol). That's why Jim's making an announcement on the 3rd as well.

No I don't really think so, but this all about speculation right? And as we don't know nuffink any guess is as good as any other.
