Canon VDSLR's vs. Canon Consumer Camcorders

My opinion...

Oh nah, I'm not using it professionally right now (and just cuz it's the only other preset I've downloaded, I like CineGamma better) but just for right now, I like practicing with it because well, sorta gives off a sort of indie-film quality if you ask me, flat feeling. I'm just saying slap it on there if you want to know the camera can make a pretty shot, none of the built in presets gave pretty looks for the videos to me. I'm definatly still trying to find out what settings I'll use for an upcoming 'official' shoot, where I want blacks that are very contrasty and spooky feeling, but then a weird mix between a contrasty feel, yet a slight film/flat color tinge just to bring the shoot's footage back to the 90's. It's hard when you're picturing an exact look in your head but have no clue what settings to use or what would be best to use for post-editing!

what you think you're "overexposing" is probably close to exposing properly. and noise at 100 ISO? what are you talking about? you can shoot the same scene at 100 iso and same scene at 800 iso - other factors apply. you can't just say there's noise at 100 iso, that means nothing.

Basically, if I expose the shot like the meter says to, I get tons of noise in my videos no matter if it's at ISO 100 or ISO 800, which happens in the dark colors (not the same thing as dark areas, which are also still impossible to avoid.) So I either A. Meter for a very dark area/color in the room. or B. Get lazy and just open the Apeture a little more untill the meter is at 1. Makes the noise completely go away, but only when it's on ISO 100 or possibly 200. If I go over ISO 200, I could overexpose till doomsday and it wouldn't get rid of the noise, nothing could....

But I have not taken into account the many things possible in post-editing! I have no clue the options of getting rid of normal noise at ISO 100 in post. I also consider that it could be color gain noise, but then again...I mainly get problems in the color black and brown, most of all.
