And, here is one I took this morning. It's about peak autumn leaf season here in the beautiful Hudson Valley. For some reason, its a lot fuzzier than the original. I'm not impressed with this upload resolution, not sure why, but I'll post anyway.

Thanks. Keep in mind the car was graded, but that is a sweet 20+ year old Olympus 50mm f/1.8, Made in Japan.

Here is one of my sister's cat, very little done to it, just a little cuve to compensate for the fact that it was overexposed, shot wide open with the same lens:

I'd shoot video at f/1.8 all day long, but when you really push it you can see some CA. Not an issue 90% of the time though. At high resolution stills you can see it is a good deal softer wide open, but at f/2.8 it is razor sharp. The blades aren't perfect, so while bokeh is gorgeous you do notice little spikes between them f/2.8, and on the very small apertures it doesn't look all that round. Bokeh only suffers a bit at the very end of the dial though.

But it is very sharp and has a beautiful color rendition. Gorgeous colors! It can be quite stunning if you got something good going on in front of the camera.

Here is a make shift f/1.8 vs. f/2.8 comparison, but it isn't fair. I didn't shoot it as a test, and the difference in angle made tougher for CA on the one that is wide open... but it shows it at it's worse:Too bad the old man didn't get more of them.

Just got my Canon 24-70mm f/2.8, and (I am even happier about) a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8!

One of the loves of my life....my doggie...no post. Just resized...

Anyone else use Picasa 3 to upload photos? I uploaded both of these using Picasa 3. The first pic is visibly much sharper. I can't figure out why. Both originals are pretty darn sharp. I have tried so many different variations of uploads and settings just wondering if anyone else has ever had the same problem.

This is a quick pic out of several good ones. Many probably far better, but I like the mirror's edge.
