Canon T3 or T2i

I started to think I could use one DSLR mainly for pictures and some VFX footage on greenscreen occasionly. I would like to try long exposure pictures at night. On my local Stamples I found that they sell a T3 a 12,2 Megapixel CMOS with 18-55mm lens and a T2i a 18 Megapixel CMOS with a 18-55mm lens. I would obviously bought the T2i for the 18 Megapixel CMOS, but something tells me not to be that hasty. So the price differences are about 30$. The T3 is 30$ more expensive then the T2i, who would known that?

You can see technicals specs for the Rebel T3 and Rebel T2i. I'm no experts on HDSLRs, I hope you can help me.

Definitely T2i: better build, better sensor, much better video (T3 is 720p only), much better screen (230Kdots is really not enough, and you need the screen to focus in video mode). There's really no contest.

So if I could consider the T#i series, what would be the best : T2i T3i or T4i? Does any of them is enable to do timelapses?

WRT image quality, they're basically the same. If the swivel screen and 3x crop mode is worth the price difference for you, go for the T3i instead of the T2i. If the AF during video recording is worth the price difference for you, go for the T4i (AF in video is useless to me and to most, but different people may have different needs; also, make sure first there's a version of Magic Lantern for that one!).

I'm not a big fan of using Canon DSLRS for green screen - the aliasing really comes into play when you start keying. I know some people are Ok with it, but I found it to be a real fight to get a good key.

Thing is, with keying, a "good key" is pretty subjective. You can find plenty of youtube & vimeo examples of terrible (or so-so) keys, which makes me think some people are of the "wow, I just pulled a key!" mindset... or they've had years of trying to pull DV keys, in which case, even a D90 Key will shock you.
