I shot some test footage with the Canon T2i. I had the Nikon D600 but opted for this with the Magic lantern setup.

Nikon 15mm F/3.5 ais and Nikon 85mm F/1.4 for few close ups.

All hand held and it was only me and the two guys in front of the camera.

I was just scouting a location and started shooting some video in between stills..

I paid $750 US for the Nikon 15mm. People compare it to the Tokina 17mm RMC but I can tell you it does not compare. I own both and the Nikon leaves the Tokina on the dust. Not that the Tokina is bad. It is just the 15mm is so awesome.

man this lens is up to $1200 on ebay. I have also heard great things about pentax 15mm f 3.5 and that's the one I'm trying to get. Screw Tokina 11-16. Manual lenses all day every day.

The Tokina 11-16mm F/2.8 is a great lens. I would not discount it for the price it is. Is it as good as the Nikon 15mm F/3.5? No. But at only 500 used on Ebay it is an incredible lens for the money. I still have a Tokina 11-16mm and use it from time to time. IF you keep your eye out on ebay you can snag one cheap. What I did was made a saved search so when someone lists one it sends me a message. Then I can sang a cheap buy it now on lenses I am looking for. I picked up a nikon 28mm F/2.8 AIS for 150 this was and I think this is one of the best lenses ever made by Nikon.
