Hi, Does anyone know how to convert Canon .RMF to CDNG? Can't get any answer from Atoms or Convergent Design whether they support it. Can it be done on a computer with a certain program? Thanks.
I paid a coder to write a program for me a few years ago- the problem was Adobe didn't recognize the "camera" that generated the cDNG files. I thought cDNG was supposed to be "open" but there must be a technical reason Adobe ACR didn't recognize the file. Could also have been bad programing. I abandoned this as no client was willing to shoot Canon RAW in the first place.
Premiere Pro CC reads .rmf files natively now, but they are a bear for my system to play back. CD's implementation of Canon RAW to Prores is a very practical solution. You can always use the Canon utility to convert- but those DPX files were enormous.
