Canon R5C Power Issue with BG-R10 battery grip.

I believe I have discovered a bug with the newest Canon R5C camera when used in conjunction with the BG-R10 battery grip. Occasionally the camera will fail to turn on. This is a very sporadic issue and rarely happens, but when it does it is disconcerting. When this issue occurs, the only way I can get the R5C to power on is to remove the BG-R10's battery tray and then reinsert it into the BG-R10 grip. Then the R5C will then power on just fine. I have never experienced this issue when the grip is not attached. I am only using Canon LP-E6NH batteries and this issue occurs even when the batteries have a 100% charge. It seems to me like it is a firmware issue. It does not happen everytime. It happens 1 out of 50 times that the camera is powered on and off. So the issue is probably one that Canon does not know about.

I'm posting here to see if anyone else has experienced this.

While I own and use the R5c with the battery grip, I have yet to experience the issue described. But I did have a similar issue with my Fuji GFX100, and it had turned out to have been a faulty battery sled. A replacement sled had solved the problem and it has never reappeared. You might want to call Canon Tech support and ask them about it.
