Guys,

I might have missed a thread on this but has anyone posted any footage that was shot with Canon L series glass?

I am currently looking at using the following lenses on my AF100 setup:

24-105L f4
70-200L f4
50 f.14
24-70 f2.8

Thanks!

I wouldn't mind seeing footage too. And correct me if I am wrong, but as of now (ie no Birger yet) if these lenses were to be used, there would be no control whatsoever of the aperture right? Meaning one would have to put the lens on a Canon body, set the aperture you want, then remove and put on AF100? Do I have that correct? As of now, all of the presently available adapters have no means of aperture control on the current Canon lenses right? Notwithstanding the one out there that has aperture blades built into the adapter itself (the one discussed a couple of threads above).

I just want to make sure I am understanding the current state of affairs regarding current Canon lenses (which is what the OP is asking about).

G.

We played with a Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM on the AF100 on the "Verse" shoot. Don't know that there are any shots in the film from it; but it looked really good just messing around with it.

Iris control would have been nice; but the ND-wheel got us a LONG way there very quickly.

Yeah, but 400mm at 5.6 can be a really tight focusarea. Stopping down to 8 or 11 would help a lot. The Nd filter gets you somewhere, but doesn´t change the DOF. I doubt it works to use the lens on a Canon, set the aperture and then put it on the AF. I guess it will always open up when removed and then you are stuck with it wide open. But of course I haven´t tried it yet.
