Canon Grip

FYI to all Canadian 7D users on here:

thecamerastore.com (shop in Calgary) has the Canon 7D Grip (i forget the exact product name) for less than $150. I ordered one and it cost me only $160 with shipping and taxes. That is about half the cost of what some other retailers are selling it for.

mine is currently en route, and i'm hoping to report nothing but good things once i receive it.
 
yeah, i'm not certain about that. its less than all REPUTABLE dealers.

About the LP-E6 battery, Kindly Note:
1) Please do not charge this battery by Canon original charger, which will ruin this battery.
2) There is no capacity display on camera screen when using this battery, but it can work.
3) It must be charged by the compatible charger that is included in this item.
4) The charger can also be used to original LP-E6 battery.

if the batteries aren't Canon, there is a possibility that the grip isn't either.

i should also add that the box that came with my grip had a price tag of $292. i'd say i got a pretty good deal. (things are always more in Canada.)
 
I use a grip I bought for $59 on eBay and it works perfectly. Do you think Canon really makes their battery grips? Or their $180 intervalometers when Youngnuo makes a $22 version? Or the camera bags with their logo?

Camera bodies, yes. Lenses, yes. Everything else, why pay more?
 
whatever. it came in two days, it has full warranty, and i'm supporting a camera shop (instead of some hong kong exporter who has no regard for patents or other intellectual property). there, i said it.

I agree with this, apart from the lenses.

Since there's loads more len's you could get, Sigma, Nikkor, tamron, etc .
