Canon FD adapter + canon 50mm lens infinite focus

Hi guys,
I have the ceico7 Canon FD adapter and last week got a canon fd 50mm 1.8 lens, its great! but it seems i can't get it open enough for infinite focus? any suggestions on how to make this possible or is it the price of using an adapter?

I don't own that setup, but from what I remember reading people have been able to get infinite focus with the ceico7 adapters. Hopefully someone with that rig can chime in with more info.
 
I've tried 8 or so FD lenses with a ceico7 adapter and in each case the infinity point was actually before the inifinity focus mark. Each lens also attached with a different feel, some locked easily and some were quite difficult to attach. On one I had problems with the aperture until I got the lock right. It might be that your lens is not fully locked on.
