The 5D mkIII might be killer with those new lenses....+1 on the glass. Might get some for my fs100, but I do not desire the camera at that price. Seems like it competes with the f3, which Im not interested in either. The fs100 is perfect for my needs. At least I can sleep soundly knowing my FS100 purchase wasn't futile! Haha.
F3 is not 1080p @ 60fps, only 720. The FS100 corners most cams in that area. From what I'm reading the sensor is 4k, but it can only capture or output in 1080p or less.It apparently is going to cost more than a Sony PMW-F3, and lacks the following features the PMW-F3 has: (according to current info)- Interchangable lens mounts- 1080 60p- Dual link or 3G HD-SDI for 4:4:4 (and 1080 60p)Advantages:- Appears to be smaller, useful in certain circumstances- More robust internal codecI'm not sold. They're a year late to the party.

Wait $20k and only 1080P??? This is a joke.
It should be $5,000 tops.
It be funny if a hacked GH3 totally kills this camera next year.
Ah, I should have said that...I meant in camera. Thanks for the correction sir.You sir are incorrect. I'm a Sony F3 owner and it does indeed offer 1080 60p - but not on internal recording - only over the dual link HD-SDI output. So yes, the FS-100 has an advantage for budget productions, but for those that can afford an appropriate external recorder, the PMW-F3 offers *uncompressed* 1080 60p.
If the Red site is down, here's a great summation of the Scarlet aka Canon Killer (hehe) announcements. No small sensor at all. Actually a great package for the price: https://mobile.twitter.com/#!/fxguideliveScarlet cant do shallow depth of field (tiny broadcast video style sensor)Plus I bet a scarlet with all the fixings will be way expensive too. Guess we will find out in a few minutes....
