Canon DSLR Wishlist 2014

That's a higher spec than any cam Canon has ever made. It will be a cold day in the underworld when ever that comes out :)

1080-60p is reaching for them on any cam much less 60p at 4k. hahahahahaha

Nope...

Amazon's top selling SLR cameras presently are:

(US #1) EOS Rebel T3i :

(UK #1) Canon EOS 1100D (US T3 equivalent):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Best-Seller...ref=zg_bs_nav_ce_3_560836/276-7308483-0799353

Both of these models were released in February 2011.
Seems Canon really doesn't need to change too much.

And regarding 4K: mass adoption of 4K video recording devices, and related products, apparently is years from now.

1100D? Really? Best selling? I would understand t3i, but this...
I have this thing, it's unusable! :D Maxes out at mushy 720p at 30p with no manual controls and no 24p/60p. Terrible 2.7" 200k screen and no mic input.
It's a fine still camera though, and I guess that also why it's selling. 12 megapixel stills and quality is suberb. These Photography guys have it so easy, the shittiest photographic camera on the market are superb! :D

(Sorry, I had "post regret" and deleted that, but I guess you caught it in time.)

Yep, the 1100D/T3 is #1 seller in UK, #2 in U.S. according to Amazon.

At this point all I really want is a C100 with 1080p50. Heck, even 720p50 would suffice for a few years as long as it's better than the 720p on the DSLR's. I can't believe they left that feature out of the C100 - I know dozens of action sports shooters who have dropped all their canon gear to go to Sony FS100/700 or even the RED Scarlet, simply to get 1080p50/60.

These days it's a feature on most $300 point & shoot cameras - yet Canon can't include it in on a $6000 professional camera? And instead they give us a broadcast format (50i) in their Cinema camera?

I'm sure the next round of Canon cameras (both C series and DSLRs) will have 50/60p. I don't think they can ignore it anymore. The big question is, will that be all they add to their next gen cameras? I have a degree of hope they will add 4K, even if the entire C series doesn't yet have it. Simply because they are aimed at different markets.
