canon dm-50 mic on dslr ???

I have a canon dm-50 mic im try to sell and a person interested asked me if it will work on a t3i. I have no knowledge on dslr so will this work?? thank you
 
No, it will not work. The DM-50 has an advanced hot shoe interface, meaning that the signal interface connects through the shoe mount and not via a cable. The T3i needs a mic with a 1/8" output cable.
