Canon CONSOLE software

Hey folks,

I was just wondering if anyone has used the Canon Console software and could point me to any places I can learn more about using it?

I was also wondering, does it have any advantages over another program like Premiere Pro in capturing video from the XL2?
 
It does have advantages over other solutions.

1. It allows you to control the focus and zoom remotely
2. You can create custom guide in the "monitor" for framing for 2.31 aspect or create custom guides for custom aspect/
3. You can update and modify your custom presets from it.
4. It includes a focus assist window with a zoomed in area for better focus.
