Yes, but as stated price really was not a factor if the canon was superior to the Tokina.. I did not want to spend the $3k but if it was worth the difference between lenses then I would consider purchasing it.. But yeah, a big difference in the price.

So rent this lenses for the weekend from rental and do comparision of both, then make a decision what to buy

there is cinema version of tokina 11-20 f2.8, and could be ordered with two swapable mounts PL and EF, would be a feature proof!

Well I pulled the trigger on the Tokina 11-20mm ... Will see how it performs when I take it to the next club event to shoot some shows and or demo... If I am not happy with it then I might try something else, maybe the canon 11-24mm . But I think the Tokina will be good enough.. Thanks guys for all of your input, I really appreciate it...
