Canon C100, when changing lenses. Does camera need to be turned off?

I heard stories about when people had their C300's and they changed their lenses, that the camera died. Is this true? Will it be the same for the C100? I see the C500 has an actual button that you press in order to change lenses... Even though I thought that was fully PL mount and that they don't have any electronics inside the lens? Maybe some do, I dunno.
 
I'm not sure if it needs to be or not, but I always turn off my C300 when changing lenses just in case.
 
My basic rule of thumb for using the C300. For lenses with electronic contacts - always switch off. For others - no just swap it out.
