Canon 8-48mm f/1.0 C-mount?

I've been reading a lot on the different kinds of C-mount lenses that could be adapted to the powerful GH2 and then I stumbled upon this lens in a Japanese surplus store, which I swiped in a heartbeat.

Along with the Cosmicar/Pentax 8-48mm f/1.0 I learned that this lens may be one of the fastest zoom lenses useable on the GH2 for its ETC mode. Now I want to sell it and want to ask some folks around here how much would they pay for an unmodified version of this lens.

As for asking why I am I asking here, as you can see my place of origin (Ph) has no market for these kinds of things so I am left with the option to sell these internationally even with the painfully high postage fees.

Here are pictures for those curious to see

I suggest you brows Ebay for the same or similar lenses to get an idea. I've been looking at the C-mounts as an option to get a constant aperture zoom lens since they seem cheaper - then again I haven't researched any other lenses for that matter. I live in a town where lens renting options are few to none.

I've done that, and found other similar lens of the same focal length but none of this brand. I did find however some archived posts of this lens, they run at about $150. May I ask how much would you pay for this constant aperture lens? If you want a sample here's a link of the lens in use. But I guess you're the type who'd rent a lens out first beforehand.

Btw, I live in a country where It's a completely controlled by Canon and Nikon. It would be a miracle to see a Non-canon/Nikon user here.

look for the manual Rainbow 8-48mm 1.0
you can get it at 100$ and it's sharp and not too complicated to modify.

@leoblack9 HAHAHA, you mention its only Nikon and Canon, I had to import my GH2. I'd love a C-mount lens but I'm looking at a external monitor for now rather than another lens to use with my shoulder rig I'm designing as well as Glidecam design. That is a bit of hassle living here in South Africa. I know these lenses are available in South Africa, however you have to know someone who knows someone who's been somewhere who has seen something like that to get it. Thanks for the offer though. If it was me selling a lens I don't really need, I'd decide what is the minimum amount I'd be happy to get for it, and put it up for auction with the starting bid being 10% less than my minimum amount - excluding postage.

Very helpful post, thanks. And wow shipping costs to your area is very high--much more than US or UK. I always fear that the money i earn from auctions would end up getting wasted by the high postage fees.

I'd much rather look at bhphoto, $250-450 price range here lol.

But thanks too for the reply. I believe the rainbow is a different lens to this though, looking at the pictures the Rainbow seem to be the bigger lens and probably have different lens mechanics than this one since the Canon one has a macro mode.
