First off let me apologize if this is in the wrong thread or sub forum. However, has anyone heard of this site called electrozone.com after a search on bizrate, they gave electrozone as the lowest web site when purchasing a 7d, they have a list price of 1,105. Has anyone had any experience purchasing items from this site or is this site legitimate. Thanx in advance

Anytime you say a hot camera like that advertised for more than say 10-15% cheaper than anyone else online it's a scam.

That's a scam but I got mine for ~1200 after I get rid of the kit lens.

Those sites are often scams-- they hold off and only sell at the low price if you buy a bunch of overpriced accessories and an overpriced extended warranty, o/w they cancel the sale. I would only deal with B&H, a local store, or sold by (not through) Amazon.com

They advertise way below the retail price because it increases their visibility on search engines. Then once you actually try to purchase it's always out of stock, or you need to pay $400 to get the kit battery, etc. Don't waste your time. There's no free lunch, especially when it's a popular camera like the 7D.

I just buy from B &H Photo or Roberts camera and I don't have to worry about getting ripped off

If I had the money I would definitely do the same. It's just I'm on my own budget and those few extra hundred mean that much. But if you have the money; definitely go to B&h, adoroama [where my boss gets his stuff], etc.

New grads etc, definitely shop around.
