Canon 7d - Action Training

That was pretty kick ass!!!! The thing I was nervous about with the 7D is that it wouldn't be able to do action really well. When you were in 1080p were you in 59p or 25p? Also which zoom lens did you use?

I glanced at your website and vimeo page but I'll have to look at all your videos on there. It looks like you have a great team put together.

Thanks! I used 720p for all the slowmotion shots, otherwise I tried to stick in 1080p. If I use the camera hectically I may switch to 720p. It also depends on the surroundings because 720p has bad aliasing.

Was shot 95% with the Tamron 17-50mm.

great video! :)
love that it was shot with the tamron 17-50

not too much dof.. just enough to help with the composition. Love it!

Very nice stuff.

Change your shutter speed to stop the flickering under the fluorescent lights.

Good sound effects. The Bottlefight was awesome.

The training was good.

I have a pet peeve about fight choreography however -- and particularly all these "films" that are really just demonstrations all over the web. I don't want to see a hundred choreographed moves, that are obviously set up in advance.

I want to see ONE new move I haven't seen before, with a decent set up (context). In a film with a real story.

Did you just use a tripod for it all?

Hi! No, no tripod.

Actually I did use a shouldersupport for the last part of the video. The Cavefight. Forgot about that one.

That and the indislider in the first four shots. Otherwise handheld.
