A different 60D spec list. I’ve heard from this source previously. I’m going back into the depths of the CR email archive to see what they’ve said in the past.
15.1 megapixels
ISO 100-25600
7 fps
Digic V
Movie-mode: 1080p with 30 and 24fps
build in GPS for geo-tagging
only a SD-card slot (no CF)
148×109x75mm and 738g

if the 5D doesn't have 24p by the time the 60d is released, Canon will destroy their customer's freshley raised morale!

I expect the 5D will have 24p by then but if the 60D has the same bit-rate, manual controls and less jello then bugger the 5D.

Strange. There was an earlier CR2 (better source) that there would be probably no manual control and only 30 fps. I would be surprised if the 60D got 24 fps.

• The 60D will remain at 15.1mp. There will be an upgrade of the current sensor.
• There will be 1080p video at 30fps. Probably no manual control. What I got from this is the 5D2 will get a firmware functionality upgrade and the 60D will basically have what the 5D2 has now.
• We will see a newer AF system introduced.
• The camera will shoot 8fps.
• There will be a external mic jack.
• The camera will be DIGIC V

You realize that by the time you can get your hands on a real 60D, which will be announced in the fall, it will probably be December 2009. Time flies and we'll all be old men soon with no countries (or cameras).

It sure will. It would have been earlier, however it must pass QC before we see the Firmware update goes from beta to official...
