Hi,
i think i prefer the canon 60d over the canon t4i because of the robust built of the 60d.

I was wondering if the weight of the camera canon 60d would help for stabilization . Since the t4i is less heavy, i think the stabilization is harder.

Does the weight of the camera make a huge difference ?

I use a lens of 15-85mm

Thanks in advance
Have a great day

If it's better for you, than it's better for you.

This is very much a matter of personal preference.

Definitely not a right or wrong here.

Some people add battery grips, some people lock them down to tripods, it doesn't matter. It's always going to be different for all of us.

If you can hold the 60d better than the t4i, it's better for you.

I had a 60D for 4 years and used it every day. I sold it last week and bought a new one. I also use a 600D/T3i as b cam but the 60D has better controls. The weight does have some effect of being slightly more stable. I was just planning to get a 2nd 600D for the moment but price is so close and the 60D has a few features the 600D doesn't. Wheel on the back dedicated to aperture, front wheel for shutter speed. T3i (I think same as T4i) you must hold the av button on the back and turn the finger wheel on the front. Not efficient and asking for a shutter change by mistake.
60D also has 1/3 ISO stops which I didn't think was a big deal, but is between 800 and 1600ISO
I'm looking to get into the BMCC4k, but the quality doesn't out weight giant file sizes for 90% of what I shoot. I can rent anything else higher end for the other 10%
Can't go wrong with a 60D for the price. If you want to take a go with ML raw it will slightly out perform the Rebels. I know everybody may say the 60D is outdated but the options just aren't there yet justifying the expense of new releases at double the price or more. I make 2 or 3 times the value of this camera with my kit every shoot so I can't complain.
Maybe later this year something will appear, but for me now the 60D is like a Chevy, gets you there, gets you home.

You know my old 60D was so beat up with the rubber grips off that when I got the 600D I decided to put the 60 away for a rest, but now that I have the new one the 600D isn't likely to see the light of day except as why I got it. B cam.

T4i has Digic 5 Better Noise performance, Support STM Lenses and continuous auto focus, Touch screen.
Where T4i Finds a Bigger brother is with the 70D
