I will have finally scraped up enough money to order my very own canon 60d tomorrow! To some it might just be pocket change, but to me I'm gonna feel like I've really earned it :)

Worked my arse off for it and to finally be able to hold my canon 60d is gonna be a treat!

This isn't a question post or a gloat post. I just wanna share my 60d experience with you guuyyys haha.

Do we have a dedicated 60d thread? I know it isn't hugely important, I just feel it gets a little lost between the t2i and 7D.

Good one. I traded up my 550D for the 60D this week. Today picking up the Tamron 17-50 f2.8 non VC. The best bang for the buck in a wide zoom. Just be sure it says Made In Japan and test before buying.

Thanks guys :) I ordered just the body yesterday. I have a pk to ef mount adapter, so I'll be able to use some old pentax lenses with it. I'm really hoping for a unique image using these :) but the first canon lens I'm getting is the 35mm F/2. I've seen some gorgeous footage with it. Has anyone used it before?

Wow, you sound like me when I first picked mine up. The first lens I picked up was the superwide Tamron 17-50 f2.8 of which Rockmore describes, since I'm a big fan of wide shots, and knew I had to make up for the cropped sensor. This is the test video I made with it. I'll probably pick up my first prime lens next - canon 50mm f1.4, after seeing the beauty behind the sharpness after using them for my self for the first time.

They're all pretty old manuals. A 50mm 1.4, 28mm 2.8 I believe and a zoom lens. I'm really interested in seeing how they fair on the 60d! But it's yet to arrive I ordered it on christmas eve, so I guess it's expecting a bit to think it'll be here anytime soon. I'll definitely update once it arrives :D

And now there're 2 suggestions, I'm gonna do a lil research on the tamron 17-50. I'm also a big fan of wide shots :)

Thanks! I'm waiting for another snow day for to get more footage for my next video of that variety. Should be pretty interesting.

Right an update! Finally caught sight of my 60d!

it's bin aaages in the post with new years & weather etc. But I came home at dinner from work, after being told it'd arrive. I came in hoping for a 'you were not in' note. But nothing :(
I stayed til about 12:40 then had to get back to work...

I got a phone call from my dad telling me a 'you were not in' note came at 12:58! Missed it by 20 minutes :/

It's not royal mail, it's a seperate courier. Apparently it's gonna be redelivered tomorrow! I can barely contain my excitement :DDD

Wow! very impressed and incredibly pleased :)

My pentax manuals look gorgeous! This is the first time i've seen ANY footage from it so I guess I'm not a good judge. But I'm very happy :)

Got an 8gb ultra II, but it seems to shoot video fine. I'll make sure to post some stuff tonight :D

Received a PK mount yesterday for some old Pentax lenses from my mom. A 2.8 28mm and a straight up 3.5 200mm. I'm interested to see if we have the same 2.8 28mm.

Tried them on my T2i last night around the house, low light of course so nothing special yet. Can't wait for a nice sunny day to try out the 200mm (which is 320mm with the crop).
