Canon 5d mark II / 7d must see Feature film.

This looks fantastic. I'd see this, even if it wasn't shot with a Canon DSLR. It's funny. I studied film/video production in college. Before that, I was a total Guerrilla, but unfortunately school really changed my mentality, that everything MUST be done a certain way, which costs more money. And money is the reason I haven't made anything since graduating, which I'll admit is ridiculous.

Seeing this project come together for so little money is seriously inspiring. I cannot wait to see the finished product.

Thanks Guys. Yeah the Whole guerilla shooting mode has its perks. Without a Budget its almost next to impossible to get this type of stuff done. If I wait on a hefty budget I will not get my films done. I really appreciate what these dslrs Allow for the guerilla filmmakers to do such as be low key on some very high end locations thus making it look like you had a budget. Although guerilla has its downfall as well.

I looked at that with the sound off the first time through and my interest was peaked. That's some really good looking stuff.

So, after blood sweat and lost sleep it looks like my project is finally complete except for some minor audio clean up.

Unfortunately though I was not able to conform this into a full length feature like I anticipated. This film was a huge undertaken and the 23 minutes I was able to squeeze out of it bogged me down. I'm hoping to have the full screaning available online in a couple of weeks and will keep everyone posted. until then I have revamped the trailer for any interested in seeing. https://vimeo.com/44484679#

thanks and will keep everyone posted. Exciting times to be a filmmaker with such tools available to us.

... and you are making the best of those tools, great work Reem, some of the shots are extremely well lit, looks very high production and very good quality.

I wish you all the very best.

Paprochy, I don't think I would consider this an anti abortion film but it does deal with it on a deeper level than what is normally seen.

It looks amazing! I agree with that statement. I don't see how else this could have been done for $3,000 ten years ago. What lenses were used?

Fantastic reem....cinematogrphy, acting, editing...subtle effects....all top notch and a real advert to anyone wanting to shoot a movie on a tight budget.

When you are finished it would be interesting to hear exactly what you spent the 3k on.

Can't wait to see the final film.

Thanks Rcolazo89. I used an array of lenses on this project. Mostly nikon primes. They ranged 24mm nikon 2.8, nikon 50mm 1.4 which is my main go to lens, an occasional 135mm canon 2.0 L SERIES and a couple shots with the canon 85 1.2 L series. I myself really like the nikon primes on the 5d.

nice! i could kinda tell - I use the same lenses. I just don't have the 1.4, I should pick one up soon it's only $150ish on keh. I have been doing mostly sound work lately, but I can tell which shots you used the 50 ;)

Hey New_Zealand I'm using final cut pro 6 for editing. Thinking about jumping over to premier, i just don't know if I'm up for the learning curve at this point.

Hi reem12, Very nice trailer. Kept me intrigued from start to finish. Just shows what can be achieved quality wise with a DSLR. Thanks.
